TASK's AE Program!

 Hello there!

The Adult Education Program at TASK provides a one - on - one tutoring service for their adult patrons. These adults are tutored in basic literacy skills, math skills, GED Preparation and computer skills. At the beginning of their tutoring experience, patrons meet with the program coordinator and set up personal goals, and a time line in which they would like to meet these goals.TASK also provides all the essential tutoring items, such as notebooks, pens and reading glasses!

All the tutoring takes place within TASK's main building, during hours that do not conflict with their meal times (though, TASK is flexible to meet the needs of their patrons!) A full schedule is available online on their website!

How you can get involved!:
Remember the posts on donations and volunteering? Well TASK doesn't only need food and dinner servers, they need TUTORS and SUPPLIES as well!
For Tutors: you don't need to be a certified teacher! Most of what the patrons need is just someone friendly and helpful to help them succeed in their goals. If you commit to being a tutor however it is preferred that you commit to ONE session every TWO WEEKS.
For Donations: Notebooks, pencils, pens, calculators, and other items are ALWAYS needed. These items can be picked up at any dollar store!

The support the AE Program provides for these patrons is staggering. When a patron passes their GED, a congratualtions post and a picture is posted on the Facebook page!
